CWB announces final payments for 2008-09 crop year

December 11, 2009

Winnipeg – The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) is issuing final payments to farmers for the wheat, durum wheat and designated barley they delivered to the CWB during the 2008-09 crop year, as well as feed barley delivered into Pool B. These payments represent the balance of the money owing to farmers after their grain has been marketed through the CWB, and after operating costs have been deducted.

Direct deposits are being credited to farmers’ accounts Dec. 14. Farmers who receive payment by cheque can expect to begin receiving their payment in the mail by Dec. 18.

Final payments, in dollars per tonne, for the base grades in each pool account are listed below. The total payment is based on the value of grain in store at Vancouver or the St. Lawrence.
